Lightning strikes down the Storm boys

The Morris Benson Area boys' hockey team traveled to Breezy Point Tuesday where they were struck down by the Lightning 2-1.

It was an evenly played game with the Storm getting 33 shots on goal to the Lightning's 35. Both teams were called three times for penalties.

The Lightning scored first and took a 2-0 lead in the second period, before the Storm answered with their only goal of the game. Mac Beyer put the Storm on the scoreboard off an assist from Tanner Picht midway through the second period.

Matt Huot was credited with 33 saves while the Northern Lakes goalie had 32.
