MAES students Dare Mighty Things

MORRIS --On Friday, March 1 students at Morris Area Elementary School were encouraged to “Dare Mighty Things” by dressing in clothing representing their dream career.

At an afternoon assembly, MAES Principal Ken Gagner – dressed as Captain James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise – told students “It's ok to dream big things – it's ok to set your sights high.”

Students also were invited to submit essays describing their dream careers. Of the over 100 essays submitted, 12 were chosen to be read aloud during the assembly. Students also heard from community members about their careers.
