Rather than participate in a gift exchange, the students took the money they would have spent and donated it to the Food Shelf. The students raised $194 for the Food Shelf.

In the accompanying photograph, Marlene Vogel and LoAnne Jaeck of the Food Shelf visited the school to accept the donation from the second grade and their teachers Brian Johnson, Suzanne Smith and Michelle Stewart.
