Man struck, killed by car while mowing lawn in Rothsay, Minn., identified

A man killed while mowing a lawn here Monday has been identified by Wilkin County officials.

Ronald Lee Snell of Casper, Wyo., was struck about 1:30 p.m. by a Saturn car driven by a 17-year-old from Barnesville.

The Wilkin County Sheriff's Office said the car left the road on Center Avenue and hit Snell, who was killed instantly.

Snell was mowing the yard of a property owned by a friend. The two had returned to Rothsay to do maintenance work and planned to return to Wyoming today.

The accident is under investigation.
