Mary "Mur" Kristen Pulver, 63, of Bradenton, FL, died May 23, 2014, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, FL.
Mary Kristen Pulver, the fourth of five children, was born December 6, 1950, to Donald and Anne Webster in Morris, MN. Mur attended Morris Public Schools and the University of MN, Morris, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts, with a minor in English. Her biggest thrill during her four years was receiving an award for "Best Actress in a Leading Roll" from the theatre department, in the production of "The House of Bernada Alba", directed by George Fosgate.
Mur spent two years in MPLS and two years in San Antonio, TX. Upon returning to MPLS she began a career in advertising with the MPLS branch of BBD&O. In 1999 she joined the advertising agency of J.T. Mega where she worked until her retirement in 2007.
She married Don Pulver September 23, 1984, who was the greatest man to walk the earth, as Mur would say, "at least in the upper Midwest"! They lived in St Louis Park, MN, until their move to Bradenton, FL in 2007. Don was a free-lance illustrator and also worked in the advertising industry. Don's two sons from a previous marriage, Dean (Abby), and Tony (Lucy), added to Mur's happiness as wife, mother and grandmother! Don lives in Bradenton, FL, where he is very active with his artwork and volunteerism.
Mur is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steve.
She is survived by her husband, Don; one sister, Judy (Richard) Edinger of Fergus Falls, MN.; and two brothers, Doug Webster of Las Vegas, NV.; and Twig (Shaune) Webster-Wunder of Bradenton, FL.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mur's warmth and humor will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be designated to the Studio Art Department at the University of Minnesota, Morris, 110 Welcome Center, 600 East 4th Street, Morris, MN. 56267.
