Details of the purchase and sale were not disclosed. The transfer is scheduled to take place mid-June.

"We are pleased to announce the sale of The Grocery Store to Miner's Inc.," said Jeff and Ric Harrison, owners of Mason Brothers, in a press release. "Like Miner's, Mason Brothers is a family-run business and a major employer in Wadena. Under our arrangement with Miner's, Mason Brothers will continue to supply the store. Instead of being competitors, we will now be working together to better serve our community."

Jim Miner Jr., Vice President of Miner's incorporated, said the merger will create some efficiencies for both companies.

"We look forward to acquiring The Grocery Store and we recognize there are a lot of synergies between our two family-owned businesses," Miner said. "Miner's operations continue to grow because of our loyal customers and devoted employees. Because of our new relationship with Mason Brothers, Super One Foods will have the opportunity to move to a larger facility and offer more products and services to our customers. Adding this store demonstrates Super One Foods' commitment to maintaining a significant presence in Wadena for the foreseeable future."

Mason Brothers Company, based in Wadena since 1920, is a leading grocery wholesaler in the northern central states.
