Morris Area advances to section one-act competition

Morris Area advances in one-act play competition with a second-place award at the Sub-section 5A Contest Saturday.

Under the direction of Michelle Johnson, the Morris Area cast and crew advance to perform "4 A.M." at the Section 5A Competition Saturday at Sauk Centre.

Students participating in the one-act production include Ira Hoffman, Jessica Burks, Michaela Jarvis, Kelsey Curfman, Lily Erdal, Emily Ruether, Jade Vipond, Grace Dressler, Tori Fuhrman, Hailey Thielke, Amber Logan, Yasha Hoffman, Andrew Gausman, Chase Mohrman, Thomas Deseth, Tahni Jungst, William Strand, and Lucas Weiland.

First place was awarded toBelgrade-Brooten-Elrosa for a performance of "The Atomic Adventures of Nikolia Nikolaevich." B-B-E also advances to the section competition.

Hancock took third place with "Finis."

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg finished fourth with "Exit."

Benson's production of "Annierella & the Good Queen Fairy Cowmother" was fifth.

Morris Area performs Saturday at 8:45 at the Sauk Centre High School.
