Morris Area and St. Mary's schools dismissing at 12:30 p.m. Monday, blizzard warning issued

MORRIS -- The Morris Area School District and St. Mary's schools will be closing at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18.

All events scheduled for Monday night are also cancelled.

The Stevens County Sheriff's Office is recommending extreme caution while traveling. Strong winds and blowing snow has created poor to zero visibility and very slick roadways.

If you must travel, turn on your headlights, slow down and travel at a safe speed. Again use extreme caution due to hazardous driving conditions.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Blizzard Warning in effect until midnight tonight.
