Morris Area boys are runners-up at True Team State Championships

The Morris Area boys took second place at the Minnesota State Class A True Team Track and Field Meet Saturday, May 22 in Stillwater.

The Tigers finished the day with 376 points, just 11.5 less than the leaders, Pipestone Area. Other teams participating, in order of finish, were Blue Earth Area, Esko, Jackson County Central, Roseau, Hawley/Ulen-Hitterdal, Rush City, and Pine Island.

Lincoln Arnold set a new school record and won the 400-meter dash in 50.04. The previous record was 50.5 set by Mike Hagstrom in 1977.

Stefan Lemke won the 1600 in 4:29.77.

The 4 x 200 relay team of Tyler Roske, Ross Larson, Arnold, and Corey Nohl won with a time of 1:34.53.

The 4 x 400 team also won in 3:32.0. The team includes Cody Cannon, Nohl, Lemke, and Arnold.

Jackson Henrich took second place in the discus with a 143-7. He also placed second in the triple jump with a 40-5.75.

In the shot put, Henrich took third with a throw of 45-10.5.

Connor Arnold placed fourth in the shot put with a 44-10.25.

Nohl placed fourth in the 100-meter dash in 12.13.

Cody Cannon placed fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 16.92.

In the 3200-meter, Roy Reese placed fourth in 10:41.29.

Lemke placed fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.36.

In the 300 intermediate hurdles, Cody Cannon placed fifth in 42.57.

Cody Cannon placed fifth in the pole vault with an 11-6, followed by Eric Goette in sixth, also with an 11-6.

Dan Tiernan finished sixth in the 3200 with a time of 10:48.67.

The 4 x 800 relay team of Reese, Gage Anderson, Tiernan, and Nate Fangmeier placed sixth in 8:56.53.

Tristan Michealson took seventh in the triple jump with a 38-.5.

The 4 x 100 relay team, including Michealson, Michael Michaelson, Domnick, and Larson placed seventh in 47.79.

Tristan Michealson placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.46.

Austin Schieler placed eighth in the 1600 in 5:02.04.

Roske placed ninth in the 200-meter in 24.65, followed by Larson in 10th with a time of 24.79.

Schieler placed 11th in the 800-meter with a time of 2:14.55.

In the long jump, Roske placed 12th with an 18-1.5, followed by Tristan Michealson in 13th with a 17-10.75.

Roske took 15th in the 100-meter dash with a 12.72.

Fangmeier tied for 15th in the high jump with a 5-2.

Marcus Cannon finished 16th in the 300 hurdles in 49.29.

Micah Fehr placed 18th in the discus with a 90-6.

Riley Arndt took 18th in the high jump with a 5-2

Steve Sarlette placed 18th in the 400-meter dash with a 58.16.
