Morris Area falls to the Sting in extra innings
The Morris Area baseball team suffered a 6-5 loss to Yellow Medicine East in nine innings Tuesday on the road.
The Tigers appeared to have scored the go-ahead run in the eighth when Darrick Henrichs slid across on Kirby Sayles' grounder to first, but the umpire ruled that he did not touch the plate and he was tagged out with the late throw.
The Sting won the game in the ninth with a two-out single, stolen base, and a single.
