Morris Area FFA Market Plan Team headed to Nationals
The 83rd Annual Minnesota State FFA Convention was held Sunday April 22- Tuesday April 24. There were a little over 3,300 members at convention this year, the highest attendance in years. The Morris Area FFA Chapter brought 58 of those 3,300 members to Convention, having the highest attendance of any chapter in Minnesota.
These 58 members were very busy throughout convention from competing in their Career Development Events, to attending workshops, and taking time to explore the St. Paul campus at the University of Minnesota. All these students worked very hard to practice for their contests and thanks to them they defiantly made a presence at State Convention.
This year the Morris Area FFA chapter received many honors at State Convention. They placed 8th overall in the National Chapter Award Program. They placed 2nd in the Ag Literacy Challenge for their work with their Urban Ag in the classroom project. The Morris Area FFA chapter placed in the top 10 in the LAND of SERVICE PROJECT. The chapter also reached their benchmark of $45,000 in donations to Camp Courage.
