Morris Area girls compete in conference track and field

The Morris Area girls' track and field team participated in the West Central Conference South meet Thursday at Benson.

The Tigers finished in eighth place with 36.5 points.

Rachel Moser took first place in the pole vault with a height of 10 feet. For taking first place, Moser was named to the all-conference team.

The 4X100 relay team of Katie Huot, Moser, Jenna Nelson, and Julia Sauder placed third with a time of 54.50.

Moser placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.58 seconds. The 4X800 relay team of Tina Larson, Erin Schieler, Sauder, and Sara Kuhn placed fifth with a time of 10:47.64.

The 4X400 relay team of Huot, Moser, Kelsey Loew, and Kuhn placed sixth with a time of 4:28.67.

Tara Fehr placed sixth in the pole vault with a 7-6.

Katia Vantries placed sixth in the discus throw with a distance of 96-3.

The 4X200 relay team of Loew, Bekah Larsen, Tabby Sanderson, and Nelson took eighth place with a time of 2:01.17.

Moser placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.58 seconds.

Huot took eighth place in the long jump with a distance of 14-4.

Vantries placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 28-2.
