Morris Area to host annual Western Minnesota Schools Collaborative In-Service
The fourth annual Annual Western Minnesota Schools Collaborative In-Service for staff development is Aug. 25 at Morris Area schools.
Nine school districts - Chokio-Alberta, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley, Cyrus, Hancock, Herman-Norcross, Morris Area, West Central Area, Browns Valley, Wheaton Area, along with the Midwest Special Education Cooperative and St. Mary's School -- will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The in-service will involve approximately 600 employees representing several communities and in excess of 2,800 students who attend school in western Minnesota.
The in-service brings together all employees -- teachers, cooks, custodians, paraprofessionals, administrators, bus drivers, office staff, community education staff, technology coordinators and others.
V.J. Smith will be the keynote speaker at the collaborative in-service. He is the author of the book, "The Richest Man in Town," and has been a professional speaker for more than a decade.
