Starting kindergarten is a milestone for a child and often the parent, too. If your child turns five on or before Sept. 1, 2008 they are eligible to attend.

Registration will begin in the elementary school lobby at 8:40 a.m. for all students whose last name begins with A-K. Students whose last name begins with L-Z are to register in the elementary school lobby at 12:10 p.m. Please notify the elementary office if you are not able to attend the assigned session.

Your child will do activities with our kindergarten teachers, music and physical education teachers. Parents will have an opportunity to learn about the kindergarten schedule, curriculum and counseling program.

Child care services are available in the Early Childhood Family Education classrooms. This must be arranged by calling Tamy Reese at (320) 589-4394, ext. 2237 before Wednesday, March 26. If this will simplify your day, please take advantage of the service.

Parents and children are welcome to eat school lunch that day. Cost of each meal is $2.85 and may be paid for at the elementary office. It is necessary to call the elementary office at (320) 589-1250 before March 20 so enough food is ordered and prepared.

All parents of kindergartners should have received an informational letter regarding Kindergarten Registration. If you are new to the community or did not receive a school letter, contact the elementary office at (320) 589-1250.
