Morris Area opens conference play with win

The Tiger boys' basketball team defeated Montevideo 82-76 Tuesday night at Morris Area. The Tigers are now 1-0 in the West Central Conference South and 3-1 overall.

The Tigers were hot from the field shooting near 60 percent, but were outrebounded by the Thunder Hawks.

Three Tigers scored in double figures with Chris Scott leading the way with 20 points. Cory Hennen added 17, while Jackson Henrich chipped in 14.

The Tigers travel to Ortonville Thursday.
