Preliminary information about the district budget shows a projected surplus at the end of 2011-2012 and a smaller surplus proposed for 2013.

Another item on the agenda is a review of the district's developing long-range facilities plan. Member of the Facilities Committee met with Pat Overom of ICS Consulting earlier this month to come up with a program for the district.

Although the plan has not come before the full board yet, the board will consider taking action on two items: authorizing requests for proposals on re-commissioning mechanical and electrical equipment in both buildings and directing the administration to contact roofing consultants to develop a plan to address the areas of the high school that were roofed in 1991.

The board will also hear presentations from Todd Travis of the Midwest Special Education Cooperative and Cheryl Kuhn about the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.

At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the board will meet in the Agriculture Classroom for a presentation from Natasha Mortenson and members of the FFA Officer Team about different ways technology an be used in the classroom.

A full agenda for Tuesday's meeting is attached.
