In September, the board approved a preliminary increase of 4.52 percent, or about $137,500. The total proposed budget is about $3.2 million dollars.

The board will also consider a budget revision for 2011 - 2012.

Another item on the board for consideration is a memo from Tom Knoll, superintendent for the Cyrus school. In the memo, Knoll invites the board to an informational meeting regarding the possible dissolvement and consolidation of the Cyrus school.

According to the memo, the Cyrus school board has passed a motion to operate a K-6 school in the 2012-2013 school year, but that the district may also enter SOD in 2012.

"If this should occur our school must look at positive methods to educate the Cyrus students in the future," wrote Knoll.

Prior to the 7 p.m. meeting, the board will meet at 4 p.m. for a special meeting to consider school district and school board goals for the upcoming year.
