Morris Area track girls compete at K.T. Smith Invitational
The Morris Area girls' track and field team participated in the K.T. Smith Invitational at Breckenridge Thursday. The Tigers finished in the middle of the pack with 60 points. The home team of Breckenridge/Campbell-Tintah won the girls' meet with a score of 145.
Rachel Moser won the 100-meter dash in 13.49 seconds.
Moser also took first in the pole vault with a height of 8-6.
Julia Sauder placed second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.47.
Moser took second place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.00.
The 4X400 relay team of Katie Huot, Tina Larson, Jenna Nelson, and Moser placed second with a time of 4:25.12.
The 4X800 relay team of Tina Larson, Erin Schieler, Julia Sauder, and Sara Kuhn cut eight seconds to come in third with a time of 11:01.58.
Huot placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 13-10.5.
Katia Vantries took fifth place in the discus throw with a distance of 75 feet, 3.5 inches.
Kayla Feuchtenberger took sixth place in the shot put with a throw of 28-4.
Vantries placed sixth in the shot put with a 27-4.
Esther Koehl placed sixth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 15:50.95.
