Morris teacher seeks DFL endorsement in 12A
MORRIS, Minn. - Morris teacher and Early Childhood Program Coordinator Tamy Reese has announced her candidacy for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 12A, seeking the DFL endorsement.
"I will represent the needs in our district," Reese said in her announcement. "I've been getting many positive responses from community leaders, who feel I can be a great voice for the citizens in rural Minnesota."
Reese said she will focus on education, affordable health care and job creation and training. One of Reese's priorities is to ensure quality educational experiences from childhood through higher education, and will be focusing on issues that are important to local families and businesses.
"Affordable health care is vital as families' budgets are not able to absorb the increasing cost of health care," said Reese.
Reese is married to Greg Reese, a deputy with the Stevens County Sheriff's Department. They have two children, Annemarie and Roy.
