Morris woman killed in crash south of Starbuck

A Morris woman was killed and three other people were injured in a two-car crash south of Starbuck Monday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that 80 year-old Eldora Eich was killed in a broadside collision at the intersection of Pope County Road 18 and Highway 29.

The second vehicle was driven by 60 year-old Marvin Ackerman of Valley Springs, S.D. Ackerman and his passenger, Karen Ackerman, reportedly had minor injuries and were taken to the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

A passenger in Eich's vehicle, 16 year-old Kaitlyn Jenson, also suffered minor injuries. She was also transported to the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

The accident occurred about 11 a.m. Monday.

The Pope County Sheriff's Department assisted the State Patrol in responding to the accident.
