Nelson and Schroeder elected to Hancock City Council

Incumbent Brett Nelson was re-elected to the Hancock City Council Tuesday, while incumbent Ron Coates was defeated in his re-election bid. There were two positions up for this year's election.

Unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State's office show Nelson was the top vote-getter with 205, followed by Dennis Schroeder with 181.

Troy Hausman received 164 votes and Coates had 88.

Hancock mayor Bruce Schmidgall was running unopposed for re-election. He received 323 votes.
