The Minnesota Department of Transportation thanks residents, motorists and businesses for their patience and cooperation, particularly through the extended project timeline.

MnDOT is aware the additional traffic on the detour route caused extra wear on city and county roads between Ortonville and Big Stone City, S.D. Crews will place a new layer of asphalt where needed on Friday, Nov. 2, weather permitting.

The new, wider bridge will improve safety for motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians.
