New Lutheran congregation forms in Alexandria
Area families seeking a Confessional Lutheran congregation have begun worshiping together in the Life Right Outreach building, 1906 6th Avenue East in Alexandria.
The congregation has a strong emphasis on youth and adult Christian education based upon Confessional Lutheran teachings. This new congregation will affiliate with an association of Confessional Lutheran churches, Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).
LCMC accepts the normative authority of the Bible, the Lutheran Confessions, and upholds clear biblical standards of marriage, family and sexuality. It is committed to starting new congregations in this country and supporting missionaries around the world. LCMC is congregational in practice and non-hierarchical in function.
The new congregation's mission is to serve the community of believers and provide outreach to those who seek a relationship with Christ.
Worship services are held at 9 a.m. and Sunday school at 10:15 a.m. each Sunday morning.
