ST. PETER -- The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and the Center for Rural Policy and Development are partnering in a major study that seeks to determine the educational needs and instructional preferences of Minnesota farmers. The study is the result of a recommendation from the 2010 Farm Business Management Education Task Force.
A small sample of randomly selected Minnesota farmers will be receiving a questionnaire in the mail in late August or early September. The Minnesota Field Office of the United States Department of Agriculture -- National Agricultural Statistics Service (USDA-NASS) is collecting the data. Farmers selected for the study are strongly encouraged to complete the questionnaire and return it in the stamped, self-addressed envelope.
