Becky Hayden leads a volleyball team with nine seniors on the roster.

"I've never seen a team with nine seniors," she said. "They all have experience and they work hard."

The seniors are Kelsey Amundson, Heather Gagner, Dani Staples, Alisha Roske, Alyssa Melberg, Brianna Neuman, Fallon Meixel, Shawna Itzen, and Sara Beyer.

Filling out the varsity roster are juniors Brooke Anderson, Mary Rentz, Jenna Nelson, and sophomore Erin Schieler.

Hayden hopes to see the Tigers go deep into the playoffs this season.

"We have the ability and the attitude," she said. "Working on the fundamentals will be key."

While this is her first head coaching position, Hayden has six years of coaching experience with Junior Olympic volleyball teams in the Roseau, Ada, and Fargo areas.

She also played volleyball in high school at Roseau, as well as in college at the University of North Dakota and Mayville State.

Hayden will be using her Early Childhood Education degree at Morris Area Elementary.
