For the fourth year in a row, Morris was the site of the Dragons' marching band camp. The band stays at the University of Minnesota, Morris dorms and staff there work with the band giving critiques.

The time spent in Morris helps the band members focus on learning their routine and music. This summer the band will travel to Gatlinburg, Tenn. to participate in the America's Independence Day celebration starting at 12 a.m. on July 4. Later that day the band will march in the Watertown, Tenn. 4th of July parade.

The Marching Dragons have been a top competitor in parade contests for over 40 years. The band is made up of high school students grades 9 through 12 under the direction of David Ceasar and typically number 115.
