One person arrested in Starbuck drug bust

Several area law enforcement agencies collaborated on a drug bust in Starbuck on Tuesday that put one person in custody and netted narcotics.

According to the Pope County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement searched a residence on John Street at about 5:25 p.m. and recovered an undisclosed amount of narcotics.

24 year-old Dustin Dean Taylor of Starbuck was arrested and has been charged with one count of controlled substance crime in the third degree for possession of cocaine over three grams and one count of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree also for possession of cocaine. Taylor is being held in the Kandiyohi County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

The West Central Minnesota Narcotics Drug Task Force, the Pope County Sheriff's Office, the Starbuck Police Department, the West Central SWAT team and the Starbuck Fire Department assisted in the bust.
