Owl girls fall to Minneota 86-47 on Jan. 5

The Hancock girls' basketball team traveled to Minneota on Jan 5 for an afternoon game. They were defeated 86-47. Courtney Greiner and Lexi Steege tied for most points with 15 each. Serandon Bigalke had 11 (two three-pointers), Gabbi Nienhaus four and Sami Schmidgall two. Kassandra Algarate led the team with eight rebounds followed by Greiner with six and Bigalke with five. Steege and Greiner each had one assist. Greiner and Bigalke had six steals each and Steege had five.

The girls travel to Ortonville on Jan. 11 and will host Canby on Jan. 15.
