In rummaging through some recipes and trying to get a few filed today, (yeah, right!) I came across a few that I thought looked rather interesting- give them a try? I never type my recipes when I'm hungry; I'd have to head for the cupboard or refrigerator.
Minute Rice Porcupine Meatballs
1 T. butter or margarine
1 small onion, chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 C. Minute® White Rice, uncooked
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 packet meatloaf seasoning
11/4 C. water
1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Add onions; cook and stir until tender. Place onions, meat, rice, egg and seasoning in a large bowl. Add water; mix until well blended. Shape into medium-sized meatballs.
Pour spaghetti sauce into skillet. Bring to a boil; add meatballs. Return to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover. Simmer 15 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through.
BUSH'S Beans Aloha
1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
3 sweet onions, diced
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
2 (28 oz.) cans Bush's® Original Baked Beans
1 (28 oz.) can Bush's® Boston Recipe Baked Beans
1 (15 oz.) can Bush's® Navy Beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz.) can Bush's® Black Beans, drained and rinsed
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, drained
3/4 C. packed dark brown sugar
1/2 C. molasses
1/2 C. Dijon mustard
3 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Add the onions and green pepper to the bacon drippings; cook and stir over medium heat until tender.
In a slow cooker, mix onions and pepper, all the beans, pineapple, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Sprinkle with bacon. Cover and cook on Low for 4-5 hours. Makes about 16 servings.

Stewed Tomatoes with Dumplings
1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 T. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 T. butter or margarine
1/2 C. biscuit/baking mix
3 T. milk
In a saucepan, combine the tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. In a bowl, combine the biscuit mix and milk. Drop batter in four mounds onto the tomatoes.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in a dumpling comes out clean (do not lift cover while simmering). 2 Servings.
Cola Onion Pork Chops
3 thick cut boneless pork chops
1 (12 oz.) can cola-flavored carbonated pop
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Preheat oven to 350°. Place the pork chops in a shallow glass baking dish. Pour the cola over them, and sprinkle with onion soup mix.
Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Turn over, and continue baking for another 30 minutes, until sauce is thickened and chops are fork tender.
"Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet, I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse. "So, do you always carry your TV remote?" I asked.
"No", she replied, "but my husband wouldn't come shopping with me, and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally."
