As the famous movie line goes, "I'm baaaaack". After my "vacation" at the hospital and West Wind Village, I'm going to try to get back to it here. Thanks again for all your good wishes and "When are you going to start writing again" and "We miss you". It really does make a person feel good, so let's do some ice cream drinks to start out. I think the weather merits it.

Kahlua Frozen Mudslides

1 fluid oz. Kahlua

1 fluid oz. Kahlua Coffee Cream

1 fluid oz. vodka

1 large scoop vanilla ice cream

Combine all ingredients together and blend

Bailey's Sundae Coffee Drink

12 C. brewed coffee

1 pint French Vanilla ice cream

12 fluid oz. Irish Cream liqueur

Brew 12 cups of coffee. While the coffee is brewing, fill each cup with a scoop of ice cream. Be sure to use large cups (the ones you get at coffee houses are best). Top each scoop of ice cream with just enough Irish cream so that the ice cream looks lightly coated. When the coffee is brewed, pour it so that each cup is filled up about halfway. It 's then up to each individual to add more Irish cream, half-and-half, or sugar to suit his/her taste.

Aging: Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it!

Not your Kids' Root Beer Floats

1 C. root beer

1/2 C. root beer schnapps

1 scoop vanilla ice cream

In a pint glass, stir together 1/4 of the root beer and the root beer schnapps. Place in the freezer for 2 hours, or until ready to drink. Leave the remaining root beer at room temperature.

When ready to drink, scoop the ice cream into the pint glass, and top off with the room temperature root beer.

Creamy Brandy Alexander

1 T. brandy

1 T. creme de cacao

1 1/2 C. milk

1 pint French Vanilla ice cream

1/4 C. sweetened whipped cream

1 pinch ground cinnamon

In the container of a blender, combine the brandy, creme de cacao, milk and ice cream. Process until smooth. Serve in glasses topped with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon.

Three sisters, ages 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together. One night the 96-year old draws a bath. She puts her foot in and pauses. She yells to the other sisters, "Was I getting in or out of the bath?" The 94-year old yells back, "I don't know. I'll come up and see." She starts up the stairs and pauses. "Was I going up the stairs or down?"

The 92-year old is sitting at the kitchen table having tea, listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful, knock on wood." She then yells, "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door."

Are you ready for a little football?

Have a great week.
