Pioneer Previews for August 26

Local singer-songwriter Lance Benson will perform today at the Lake Bemidji State Park Amphitheater for the final installment of the park’s Summer Concert Series. Concert admission is free. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park. For details, call 308-2300.
Monday
“Totally Necessary Men”, a comedy theater piece presented by Steve Saari and Saarens Productions, will be performed Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Wild Rose Theater, 501 Bemidji Ave. N. Tickets are $5-10. For ticket and production information, call 556-1777.
Wednesday-thursday
Auditions for “Oliver,” a collaboration between Bemidji Community Theater and the Paul Bunyan Playhouse, will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the historic Chief Theater, 314 Beltrami Ave. NW. Performance dates are Nov. 9-11 and 16-18 at the Chief.
