Police identify Fargo man who fatally shot himself while walking along busy street
Police released the name of a Fargo man who killed himself Saturday after approaching an officer while carrying a gun.
Barclay Thomas Lesher, 53, shot himself shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday while in the 100 block of 25th Street South.
Lesher approached a policeman who had made a routine stop on Main Avenue, about a block east of 25th Street. Police said Lesher, who had a handgun, told the officer that he planned to hurt himself.
