
Prep baseball: CGB dusts up Hancock
HANCOCK -- Hancock pitchers had trouble finding the plate and the Owls fell 10-2 to Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Monday in a game that sent the Pheasant Conference standings into turmoil.
The Owls entered the game atop the conference standings but now are 6-4 in the league and are in a three-way tie for the lead.
The Owls took a 1-0 lead in the second, but Hancock surrendered 10 walks and committed four errors to help CGB score 10 runs on just five hits.
Brady Koehl was 1-for-3 and scored both the Owls' runs.
Hancock plays next against conference rival Brandon-Evansville at 5 p.m. Thursday in Hancock.
