Prizes await first baby born to a Hancock couple

Clay James Zeltwanger has relinquished his title as the Hancock New Year's baby as of January 1 of this year. Clay, the son Jason Zeltwanger and Nicole Logan of rural Hancock, was born on January 19, 2012 to earn the title and receive several free gifts. With his first birthday, the search began for the next lucky baby.

To qualify for the Hancock First Baby, the family must either have a Hancock address, Hancock phone number or live in the Hancock School District. Simply contact the Hancock Record at 392-5527 if you know of a baby that qualifies.

Gifts for the baby will be donated by Agralite Electric and Grossman's Plumbing and Heating. Hancock Concrete and Trico will each give $10 in Hancock Bucks. Willie's Super Valu will give a $20 gift certificate and Thrifty Benson Drug and City Center Drug will donate a $10 gift card.

The Hancock Record will give a one year subscription and KJH Construction will give $20 in Hancock Bucks. Hancock Co-op will give the family $15 towards a gas purchase at their station. A bottle of champagne will go to the proud parents from Inn Like Flinn's and a year's worth of voice mail will come from Federated Telephone Co.

$50 will be deposited into a new savings account in the baby's name at Community Development Bank. Hancock Dental Clinic will give $5 in Hancock Bucks. Two gallons of milk will be given by By-Lo Gas and Grocery and Buddies Bar and Grill will give the family a $15 gift certificate. A $25 gift certificate to the SCMC gift shop will be donated by Stevens Community Medical Center. Meadowland Market will give a $10 gift certificate and Hancock Quality Meats will give a $10 gift certificate.
