Public health services moving to new location
Stevens Traverse Grant Public Health will move May 11 to the former county Human Services building on Highway 28 in Morris.
The new public health building has more room for what is expected to be an increase in demand for public health services in coming years, Stevens County officials have said.
Arrangements are being made to sell the current public health building on Pacific Avenue. City of Morris officials have toured the building to determine if it could be used for a new City Hall, but the city has made no indication that it is interested in purchasing the property.
The county moved its Human Services Department to the Stevens County Courthouse once renovations were completed earlier this year. As part of its courthouse project, the county budgeted about $200,000 in potential revenue from the sale of the Pacific Avenue property.
Public health's new address will be: Stevens Traverse Grant Public Health, 10 East Highway 28, Morris, MN 56267. Phone numbers are: (320) 208-6670 for the main line, and the FAX is (320) 589-7433.
