Rachel Moser going to state

Rachel Moser won the pole vault at the Section 6A meet Thursday at the University of Minnesota - Moorhead to lead Morris Area.

Moser's personal record of 10 feet, six inches earned her a first-place finish and an opportunity to compete at the state meet June 5-6 at Hamline University.

As a team, the Tigers finished with 20 points in ninth place.

Staples-Motley won the meet with 81 points. Sauk Centre placed second with 74.

Two Tiger relay teams placed at the section meet.

The 4X100 relay team of Katie Huot, Moser, Jenna Nelson, and Julia Sauder placed fourth with a time of 52.22.

The 4X400 relay team of Huot, Moser, Tina Larson, and Sara Kuhn took fourth place with a time of 4:18.38.

Moser placed fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.00.
