Rebecca Lynn Bright, 42 of Aitkin died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin. She was born September 15, 1970 in Elbow Lake to Dean and JoAnn (Burgess) Olson. She was baptized in November of 1970 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake and was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Aitkin on May 5, 1985. After graduating high school she attended business college. Rebecca was united in marriage to James E. Bright in Aitkin on April 25, 1992. She was employed as a Title Paraprofessional at Rippleside Elementary School in Aitkin and served as Clerk for Fleming Township. She volunteered with RAGOM (Retrieve A Golden Of Minnesota) a Golden Retriever and dog rescue program and was active with Aitkin Basketball Boosters. She was a member and attended Fleming United Methodist Church and First Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Wilbur and Mary Burgess; and Alvin and Delores Olson; two uncles David Burgess and David Olson.

Rebecca was a loving wife and mother to her husband Jim Bright and two daughters: Taylor and Ally Bright.

She is also survived by her parents: Dean and JoAnn (Burgess) Olson of Cyrus

2 Brothers and sister-in-law: Doug (Heather) Olson of Cumming, Iowa and their children: Curtis, Kyle, and Kaylee Olson

Scot (Holly) Olson of Rice and their children: Michael, Matthew, Mitchell, and Max Olson

Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Richard and Irene Bright of Kimberly, rural Aitkin

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John (Rebecca) Bright of Cherry and their children: Erianne and Elyssa Bright

Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law: Christine (Dwight) Marwede of Aitkin

And her many loving pets.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. - Friday, June 7, 2013 at First Lutheran Church in Aitkin. Reverend Darrell Pedersen will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin, and will continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
