Resource Expo and Community Meal planned for Oct. 28
MORRIS -- A free Resource Expo and Community Meal will be held on Monday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Morris Area High School Gymnasium.
This community expo provides Morris area residents with information about the diverse non-profits, health care and community resources, and other initiatives that the Stevens County area has to offer.
A free spaghetti supper with garlic bread, salad, and apple crisp will be served. Prizes and performances by Footnotes Dance Studio, Morris Tae Kwan Do, and the Morris Area High School musical showcase for Beauty and the Beast will be a part of the fun.
The Stampede 4-H Club will be on hand to help with the event and the 2013 Trailduster Queen will serve as “MC” for the performances which are scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
For those who want to volunteer for the expo or community meal, volunteers will be making homemade bread and spaghetti sauce at Faith Lutheran Church on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 2 to 8 p.m. Volunteers are also needed at the Morris Area High School cafeteria from 2 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday for set up, final food prep, serving, and clean up.
Resource Expo sponsors include Morris Area Chamber of Commerce, Morris Area Community Education, Bank of the West, Bremer Bank, Faith Lutheran Church, Kiwanis, Pomme de Terre Foods, Willie’s Supervalu, and the UMM Office of Community Engagement.
