Jennifer Rinkenberger, daughter of Dale and Betty Rinkenberger of Morris, and Scott Ver Steeg, son of Jerry and Carol Ver Steeg of Hancock and the late Christine Ver Steeg, were married in an outdoor ceremony officiated by Pastor Harrison Newhouse on Aug. 13, 2011 at the Christian Reformed Church in Hancock. A reception and dance followed at the Old #1 in Morris.
Special guests were their grandparents, Joseph and Harriet Rinkenberger from Morris, Alice Hess from Holloway, and Rose Nelson from Menagha.
Karissa Thiel, friend of the couple, served as maid of honor. Sheena Werner, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Tanya Johnson, Bobbi Reitsma, and Kelsey Houser, friends of the bride; Shawna Conroy, friend of the couple. Serving as the bride's personal attendant was Heather Giese, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Greta Conroy, friend of the couple. Honorary flower girls were Hayley and Tegan Rinkenberger, nieces of the bride.
Chad Ver Steeg, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Joe Conroy, friend of the couple; Eric Joos, friend of the groom; Jeremy Ver Steeg, cousin of the groom; Eric Rinkenberger and Steve Rinkenberger, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Matt Rinkenberger and Paul Baumgartner, cousins of the bride; Josh Hommerding and Kevin Blair, friends of the couple.
Jennifer is employed with Cargill in Alberta and Scott is employed at Riverside Express in Hancock. They reside in Hancock.
Scott and Jennifer honeymooned in Duluth.
