The Bemidji Pioneer, Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, Ken K. Thompson and the United Way recognize Someone Special Volunteers who have made significant contributions to the community.
Each volunteer will receive a plaque from Ken K Thompson and recognition during the “Todd and Mardy Morning Show” on KB101 radio.
The Paul Bunyan Senior Activity Center has nominated Dick Robinson as a Someone Special Volunteer.
The Paul Bunyan Senior Activity Center has many events that need volunteers who are flexible with their time and eager to work. Robinson is one of those volunteers. He volunteers to help with the Senior Nutrition Site and as the supervisor of the monthly Pancake Breakfast. He will take on any job when he is needed. He also has been on the board of directors for almost a year. For any event, he will help with setting up, moving tables, serving and cleaning up. Robinson also has a good sense of humor, which makes him fun to work with and an important part of creating fellowship between the volunteers.
For details on how to recognize volunteers in 2013, contact the United Way at 444-8929 or admin@unitedwaybemidji.org.
