Rose R. Iverson, 86, of Detroit Lakes, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes.
Rose Ruth Bastman was born to Benjamin and Ida Hanson Bastman on Feb. 1, 1921 in Lake Park, Iowa. The family moved to Worthington, Minn., when Rose was 13, and she resided there until her marriage to Olof in 1971. They lived in Wolf Point, Mont., and then Fosston, Minn., before moving to Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, in 1998. Rose loved her family very much. She loved to dance, to write, to quilt, music, flowers, and playing cards.
Surviving Rose are her two sons, Burdette (Janice) Clark of Albuquerque, N.M., and James (Dolores) Clark of Farmington, N.M.; one daughter, Bonnie (John) Tille of Worthington, Minn.; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Olof (July 14, 2001); one son, Larry Clark; three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, with Chaplain Vicki Marthaler officiating. There will be visitation for one hour prior to the start of services in the chapel.
