Sarlette receives Eagle Scout award
Steve Sarlette received his Eagle Scout award in a ceremony held Sunday at the West Wind Village in Morris.
The Eagle Scout rank is the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts. To earn it, a scout must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges and plan, develop and give leadership to others in a service project that is beneficial to the community, church or school.
Sarlette, a junior at Morris Area High School, organized the construction of three benches for First Lutheran Church of Morris.
Sarlette is a member of Troop 467. He is the son of Del and Carlene Sarlette.
