Tickle earns scholarship at MSU Moorhead

Bethany Tickle, a graduate of Morris Area High School, has received a $500 Upper Class Department Scholarship from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The donor of the scholarship is Betty Grier. Tickle is the daughter of Jerry and Linda Tickle, of Morris.

Local students named to CSB Dean's List

Two local students have earned the distinction of being named to the dean's list for the 2010 spring semester at the College of Saint Benedict.

Christine Schneider, daughter of Bob and Lois Schneider of Alberta, is a first-year student at CSB.

Courtney Tiegs, daughter of Ross and Sherry Tiegs of Morris, is a senior biochemistry major at CSB.

Pavlicek graduates from Perpich Center

Stanton Pavlicek graduated from the Perpich Center for Arts Education, the state's public arts high school in Golden Valley.

Stanton is the son of Andrea Pavlicek of Morris and Joseph Pavlicek of Monticello.

Uhlmann receives UND scholarship

Timm Uhlmann, of Morris, received the Louise Ferguson Presidential Scholar Scholarship from the University of North Dakota for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Uhlmann, son of Sylke and Kevin Boyd, graduated from Morris Area High School and plans to attend UND in the fall. 

The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who rank among the top half of one percent of entering college students in the nation, based upon high school grades and ACT or SAT test results.

Koehl earns

FFA scholarship

Esther Koehl, a 2010 Morris Area graduate, has earned a $1,000 Ram Trucks scholarship from the National FFA Organization.

Koehl's scholarship is one of 1,446 awarded through the National FFA Scholarship Program. Koehl is enrolled at Alexandria Technical College.

Two area students on BSU Dean's List

Britney Greenwaldt, of Morris, and Mackensie Rohloff, of Hancock, earned spots on Bemidji State University's Dean's List for spring semester.

Dohlen earns degree at Bethel

Ashley Dohlen, of Morris, graduated from Bethel University following the spring 2010 semester.

Dohlen is the daughter of Gerard and Sharon Dohlen. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

Jallo named to Presentation's President's List

Andrew Jallo, of Morris, was named to Presentation College President's List for the spring 2010 semester.

To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

Jallo is majoring in business.
