Screening of “Farmland” June 9 in Morris
MORRIS – The U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance and Minnesota’s farmers and ranchers will be hosting a special screening of “Farmland,” a new documentary from Academy Award-winning director James Moll, on Monday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Edson Auditorium at the University of Minnesota, Morris.
This film will be shown as part of the Minnesota Agriculture Ambassador Institute. Every year agriculture commodities from across the state of Minnesota come together to teach 35 to 50 college students about being a good agvocate. This year’s theme, Diversity in Agriculture, includes etiquette training, agriculture tours and diversity training along with many other activities.
“Farmland” follows the lives of six young farmers and ranchers as they take responsibility for the operation of their businesses.
The screening will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Edson Auditorium at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the film showing at 7:30 p.m.
