Semitrailer driver injured in crash with train near Kensington

KENSINGTON, Minn. - A driver of a semitrailer suffered serious injuries in a crash with a train west of Kensington this afternoon.

The crash happened on the Canadian Pacific railroad tracks and Highway 55 in Douglas County just east of the border with Grant County.

Both Grant and Douglas County sheriff's offices and the State Patrol responded to the scene. The Kensington Fire Department and First Responders also assisted.

No further details were available, but the Douglas County Sheriff's Office plans to release more information later today.
