Sophomore Daniel Fragodt hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer to put the Cougars up by one point.

"The game came down to execution," said Grove.

Down by one with under 30 seconds in the game, the Cougars called a play to get the ball inside.

"Our guys executed perfectly and Mitch Primus scored putting us ahead by one," explained Grove.

Nebraska Wesleyan then executed on the offensive end after their own timeout to put them up by one with under five seconds on the clock.

"Our guys did a great job running the last play of the game, getting the ball the length of the floor and giving Dan Fragodt a wide open look for the game winner.

"Dan had been outstanding the entire game and it was fitting that he hit that shot," said Grove. "It is a very good sign to see such a young team execute that well at the end of such a close game."

Three Cougars were in double figures on the new score board. Kendall Proell led the Cougars with 18 points. Fragodt finished the game with 15 and Mitch Primus scored 11.

Also scoring were Zach Meyer with eight, Jeremy Bosch with five, Kyle Bruns and Jamin Ivers with four apiece, and Clay Fischer with two.

Joey Fragodt, returning to the Cougar uniform after a semester of study at NDSU, had one free throw, along with an assist to his brother on the game-winning play.

Meyer grabbed seven boards for the Cougars, while Proell recorded six rebounds.
