Morris Area lost to Paynesville 6-4 in a West Central Conference South softball game Tuesday at home.

The Bulldogs hit a bases-clearing double in the third inning to take a 5-0 lead and then drove in an insurance run in the seventh.

Paynesville's Whitney Woehler pitched a two-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk. She allowed four runs, but none were earned. The Paynesville defense committed four errors.

The Tigers rallied in the sixth with four unearned runs.

Katie Holzheimer and Mary Rentz each singled for the Tigers.
