Small Business Development Center to hold office hours in Morris

MORRIS, Minn. - A representative of the West Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will hold office hours at the Stevens County Economic Improvement Commission, 507 Atlantic Ave., on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The goal of the SBDC is to stimulate the economy and promote new job opportunities through small business. The SBDC provides free information and confidential counseling to assist people to start, build, and grow their businesses. SBDC consultants will meet with small businesses owners who have businesses in any stage, working with individuals who are just getting started in developing their business plans to those who have been in business for many years.

The SBDC provides counseling, training, and information in all aspects of small business management and development including (but are not limited to): Strategic Planning, Financial Projections, Market Analysis, Mergers and Acquisitions, Expansion, Diversification, Franchising, Loan Packaging, Accounting and Record Keeping, Patents, Human Resources, Marketing Plans, and Business Planning. In addition to the one-on-one counseling services, the SBDC will partner with many organizations to provide a variety of business training workshops and events.

The WC SBDC is hosted by the Offutt School of Business at Concordia College and is located at the Riverside Center of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. Additional information about services, workshops and trainings, can be found at www.offuttschoolofbusiness.org/sbdc.

The services of the SBDC are confidential, one-on-one, and are provided at no charge. Scheduled appointments with a SBDC consultant are recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome.
