Smith, Goulet run at state Class A meet

NORTHFIELD -- Two Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta runners were among those participating in the state cross country meet at the St. Olaf College athletic fields on Saturday.

Sophomore Aaron Goulet finished in the middle of the herd in 72nd place with a time of 17:32.7.

The winning time of 15:55.3 was posted by senior Bryon Schuldt of Nevis. There were 150 runners in the boys' Class A race.

Sophomore Makenzie Smith finished in 15:48.9. She placed 45th of 156 runners in the girls' Class A race.

The top girls' time of 14:21.7 was recorded by sophomore Clare Fanagan of Blake School.
