Snow collapses barn roof at West River
Heavy snow collapsed a section of roof on a barn at West River Dairy on Monday.
A roof section of a special care barn collapsed about 8:30 a.m. Monday, said Kevin Wulf of Riverview.
No one was injured but about 150 cows were killed and nine others had to be put down because of severe injuries.
"We're very thankful no one was injured or worse," Wulf said.
About 6,000 cows are milked at West River, which is located south of Alberta, about eight miles from Morris.
